On this episode of The John Campea Show (Recorded Friday, November 3rd 2017) John discusses the following:

Anthony Paquin – Could the recent feud between Tyrese Gibson and ‘The Rock’ make Universal and co. want to change the tone of the spin-off (i.e. to an ’80s-throwback buddy cop one for example) to simply keep it and the “other series” apart? I feel like it would be a smart move to make it a standalone entry.

Robert G – I would like to ask about the release date for holiday-themed films. A Bad Moms Christmas opened on November 1st. Daddy’s Home 2 releases on November 10th. Why are films that center on Christmas released so far in advance of the holiday?

Gary Sawyer – Does “Shazam” really have a large enough fan following to warrant a big budget movie? Or is this an outside market gamble like the first “Guardians of the Galaxy” movie?

Isaac Beeby – Hi John. I just watched the new TV Spot for The Last Jedi, and I am fuming. In the last shot, we hear Luke saying his line “This is not going to go the way you think” and then a shot of Rey with her saber drawn looking like she is going to kill him. I will be furious if they kill off Luke before the last film.

Ryan Potter – Hey John, I wanted to know if you’ve heard anything about the demands Disney is making for theaters to show The Last Jedi? Something about a higher profit share and a guaranteed 4 week run time? Was hoping you could provide some insight on the situation. Do you really think smaller chain theaters will actually pass on screening TLJ due to these “higher” demands?
